Pagani’s “Festival Snapshots” in the Time of COVID-19

The thirteenth annual “Snapshots from the Festival” photography competition, organized by the Ambress’ Am…press cultural association, concluded virtually on April 26th due to COVID-19 restrictions. The judging panel, comprised solely of association members, selected Luigi Pappalardo’s photograph as the winner. His poignant image captured the quiet solemnity of the closed Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Hens, a powerful symbol of the community’s enduring faith. Meanwhile, an online viewer’s choice award went to Luigi Tagliamonte, whose photograph garnered an impressive 1169 likes on the association’s Facebook page. The event also saw a surge in engagement with archived content from 2018, including the performance “A Royal Franco,” a collaboration between the Grimaldi Theatre and the Campanian Philharmonic Orchestra, and the documentary “The African” by Laura Mandolesi Ferrini, both tributes to the late Franco Tiano. This overwhelming response underscored the public’s enduring affection for Tiano and the association’s commitment to high-quality programming. Forthcoming social media posts will feature a report by Gaetano Del Mauro on the association’s partnership with Nola’s “Festa dei Gigli” Foundation. His report details a photographic exhibition in the beautiful setting of the Church of the Holy Apostles, and captures the vibrant procession of Pagani singers and drummers during Nola’s June 2019 festivities. Furthermore, viewers can soon relive the “Flash Mov.”, a flash mob filmed on April 19th (the original date of the Madonna delle Galline festival) by director Gaetano Del Mauro, drone operator Alessio Marrazzo, and producer Aldo Padovano, with support from Novea Radio (Radio Base group).
