Salerno’s Design Excellence Showcases at Milan Design Week

Eight Salerno-based businesses, part of Confindustria Salerno’s Design, Textile, and Home Systems Group, will exhibit their creations at Milan Design Week from April 11th to 14th. This initiative, under the “Campania Felix” project, will occupy two prominent exhibition spaces. One will be located at Officina 22 (via Foro Bonaparte 22) in the Brera District, showcasing the design prowess of these companies. The second will be situated in Piazza Fontana at Spazio Campania, a venue provided by the Campania Region and Unioncamere Campania. This strategic placement aims to connect Campania’s manufacturers with the extensive national and international market centered in Milan. Valeria Prete, president of the Design, Textile, and Home Systems Group, emphasizes the event’s significance, highlighting the “company-designer synergy,” cultivated through shared passion, commitment, and regional heritage, now in its third year. This year’s display expands to include designs from Campania-based members of ADI (Associazione disegno industriale), who have lent their support. The exhibition’s theme, “S-material-s,” narrates the product journey, from initial conception to final form. Creative directors Rosalba Castaldo and Irma Carmen di Giorgio describe the exhibition’s philosophy, “From The Origin To The Experience,” as encapsulating the visitor’s desire to understand not just the product’s inherent characteristics, but also its history and underlying values. The provocative and evocative exhibition design invites visitors to engage with the tangible and emotional aspects of each product through a multi-sensory experience. Open daily from 10:00 to 19:00, the exhibition runs from Wednesday, April 11th to Sunday, April 14th.
